On the Isoperimetric Type Problems with Current Hyperplanes

Analytical approach is presented to the isoperimetric type problems of finding convex figures separated by current hyperplanes.     

On matrices with operator entries

In this paper we consider certain matrix equations in the field of Mikusiński operators, and construct a method for obtaining an approximate solution which allows working with numerical constants instead of operators. The theory of diagonally dominant matrices is applied for the analysis, existence and character of the obtained solutions. We introduce a method for determining approximate solutions of a discrete analogue for operational differential equations and give conditions for their existence. The error of the approximation is estimated.     

Detailed Description of Mixed Symmetry States in 94Mo Using Interacting Boson Model

We have investigated the low-lying collective states and electromagnetic transitions in 94Mo within the framework of the interacting boson model. The influence of model parameters on the energy levels and electromagnetic properties has been investigated. The analysis of the obtained results and the parameter values predict that the 23+state is the lowest mixed symmetry state with pure F = Fmax - 1 in this nucleus. The calculated results predicate that the 25+ (two-Q-phonon) mixed symmetry state is closed to the J = 2+ at 2.870 MeV in the experimental data, and the 2.965 MeV state is the lowest mixed symmetry with J = 3+.

Uniform convergence of Galerkin‐multigrid methods for nonconforming finite elements for second‐order problems with less than full elliptic regularity

In this article we prove uniform convergence estimates for the recently developed Galerkin‐multigrid methods for nonconforming finite elements for second‐order problems with less than full elliptic regularity. These multigrid methods are defined in terms of the “Galerkin approach,” where quadratic forms over coarse grids are constructed using the quadratic form on the finest grid and iterated coarse‐to‐fine intergrid transfer operators. Previously, uniform estimates were obtained for problems with full elliptic regularity, whereas these estimates are derived with less than full elliptic regularity here. Applications to the nonconforming P₁, rotated Q₁, and Wilson finite elements are analyzed. The result applies to the mixed method based on finite elements that are equivalent to these nonconforming elements. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 混合稀土储氢合金中氧和氮的测定

研究了混合稀土储氢合金中氧和氮的测定方法。针对稀土金属高温易挥发、分解的特点，选择适宜的加热温度，使用镍浴，选择高温座坩埚进行试验：选择出了合适的助熔剂的预处理方法。方法已用于实际样品。对含氧0．43％、含氮0.018％的试样，分析精密度为氧4．3％，氮5.9％，加标回收率氧为93％～104％，氮为92％～110％。

Discrete approximation of integral operators

A method to approximate the eigenvalues of linear operators depending on an unknown distribution is introduced and applied to weighted sums of squared normally distributed random variables. This area of application includes the approximation of the asymptotic null distribution of certain degenerated U- and V-statistics.

     

QUENCHING PROBLEMS OF DEGENERATE FUNCTIONAL REACTION-DIFFUSION EQUATION

This paper is concerned with the quenching problem of a degenerate functional reaction-diffusion equation. The quenching problem and global existence of solution for the reaction-diffusion equation are derived and, some results of the positive steady state solutions for functional elliptic boundary value are also presented.     

Out of Equilibrium Correlations in the XY Chain

We study the transversal spin–spin correlations in the non-equilibrium steady state of the XY chain constructed by coupling a finite cutout of the chain to the two infinite parts to its left and right acting as thermal reservoirs at different temperatures. We prove that the spatial decay of these correlations is at least exponentially fast.
